I have stopped further development on Realtime to work on the HUD for HoldemManager. The program still works and you are welcome to download it and use it for free. If you like it, you will like Holdem Manager more - though you will have to pay for it :(

If you have made a donation already, I can credit you up to $20 towards the purchase of
HoldemManager. Please attach the donation receipt to your order.

What is it?

The Realtime HUD was created to display statistics on online poker players. It currently works on 7 sites; Full Tilt Poker, Poker StarsParty Poker, Absolute Poker, Ultimate BetI-poker network. It builds a database of stats directly from the hand histories saved by the poker sites and does not depend on any 3rd party software such as Poker Tracker.

*The beta versions haven't been tested as much. Check out the change log. If there is a bug fix or a new feature you particularly want then try getting the latest beta. If not, you may as well stick with the older build.

Important Notice

Cake poker have told me that use of Realtime on their network breaches their terms of service. They reserve the right to close accounts that use it. For now the program will work on some tables, but you should be aware that if you use it  you could lose any money in your account.

Instructions

Run the downloaded program and extract the files into a separate folder. Then run the Realtime.exe program. If you are running Vista, you will need to create a shortcut, right-click on it and set the properties so it runs under Administrator mode.

Set up

You will need to set up the folders and your screen name for the sites you play on. Realtime attempts to set these up for you, but you should check that it has got them right. If you have installed the client software in a non-standard place, or you have used more than one account, or your screen name has non-standard characters, Realtime will get confused. You should check the settings before you start playing. Go to the Preferences->Site settings menu option. The following image is of the Full Tilt Settings menu, but Stars and Party are similar.

You see there are two hand history locations to set up. The first is for hands that you observe and the second is for hands you actually play. (Poker Stars save observed hands and bans programs that do so there is only one folder to set up).

You should also chose a directory to archive the hand history files. If you already have Poker Tracker, you may already have a lot of hand histories. Set the archive history folder to the same one Poker Tracker moves the processed hand histories to. Otherwise make a new folder and set the Archived history folder to point to it.

You have an option to automatically copy the hand histories to the archive folder after you have finished with them. If you just leave them in the hand history folder, two bad things will happen. First Realtime will have to scan through them all to check for any new hands every time it starts. Second, the site client will delete the files after a period of time. The Full Tilt client deletes observed hands as soon as you close the table.

If you have a program like Poker Tracker or Poker Office, you will want to let that program read your own hand histories before moving them. In that case you should leave the "Move processed files" boxes unchecked.

If you have a lot of hand histories saved, you can use build your database from them. Building the database from the archived files is quite easy. Click the button and wait. It doesn't take long. I have about 300,000 hand and my 4 year-old PC takes under 5 minutes. If you have a lot of hand history files saved, you should do this this first time you run the program.

If you have set everything up correctly, you should be able to start the poker site client and start playing. After the first hand or so you should see something like the top image.

Each player has a stats panel. You can choose which stats you want to appear in the panel using the Preferences->Player Display menu. You can click on the panel and get more detailed information on the player. Please refer to the statistics page for more information on what each statistic means. You can drag the panels around using the right mouse button.

If you still have problems please check the FAQ page.
